Delete your BeFree account & data

BeFree is built local-first, so most of your data only ever lives on your phone. Deleting is quick, and it's yours to do at any time.

In the app (instant)

1. Open BeFree and go to the Account tab.
2. Scroll to the Danger zone.
3. Tap Delete account & data and confirm.

This erases everything on your device and, if you used cloud backup, deletes your account and all backed-up data from our servers immediately.

Can't access the app?

Email info@befreeapp.net with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address you used for cloud backup. We'll verify it's you and delete your account and backed-up data within 30 days.

What's deleted, what's kept

• Deleted from our servers: your backup account (your email address) and any backed-up data — check-ins, streaks, and wins. We keep nothing after deletion.
• Deleted from your phone: chats with your AI companion, blocking rules, places, and all other app data (in-app deletion clears this; uninstalling the app also removes it). Chat transcripts are never stored on our servers.
• Kept (by Google, not us): if you subscribed to BeFree Plus, Google Play holds your billing records under Google's policies — manage or cancel the subscription in the Play Store. BeFree never sees your payment details.
